Planning and development for all rural propertyUnlocking your property potential
The planning climate for good quality development in the countryside has never been better, including both new developments and the imaginative reuse of existing buildings. However this still presents significant challenges, and a strategic, thorough and persistent approach is the key to success.
- Maximising potential: Guiding clients towards the best outcome from potential development opportunities, with an understanding of the background rural property issues.
- Development land: For clients who have land with development potential, proper representation is essential. We can assist with assessing potential and identifying issues initially, and in securing the right deal with a reputable partner or developer that maximises value whilst allowing the client an appropriate degree of influence over the way their property is developed.
- Planning applications: We work with architects, specialist surveyors and other professionals, coordinating the planning process, consulting as required, preparing planning, design and access statements, submitting applications and dealing with issues as they arise.
- “Class Q” Permitted development: We are specialists in this recent legislation that allows for the conversion of structurally sound farm buildings into up to five houses per farm through a simplified approval process. We have secured a number of successful applications and appeals in this area, enabling an opportunity for farmers that would not have been possible a few years ago.
